The children reached Dagar Ji’s farm safely at 9:00 a.m. They freshened up and were had hot milk and delicious breakfast. Post breakfast they were briefed about the day’s flow.
The children got into groups. One group was engaged in plucking organic kinoos from trees. Some of these kinoos were used to make juice from to be had during the juice break and the remaining will be carried home by the children. The other group started with a tour of the farm. During the tour they were briefed about the difference between Organic, Natural and Chemical farming by the facilitator. Post this the children spent some time playing a round of games.
Around 11 a.m. the children had a kinoo juice break which they enjoyed thoroughly. The activities were the swapped between the two groups.
Lunch will be served at 1:00 p.m. Post lunch, they will interact with Dagar ji, their own farmer and a few conventional farmers for a small session to understand their take on the type of farming they practice. Children will also interact specifically with their farmer for gathering information they would need for creating the Farmer’s Profile.
Towards the end of the day the children will be served fresh juice after which they are expected to leave for school at 3:00 p.m. Packed snacks will be carried for children to munch on in the bus.
