The sun has been peeping through the clouds today after a drizzle through last night. The children are taking good care of themselves and their peers.
They started the day with a warm cup of bournvita milk accompanied with cookies followed by Circle Time to reflect on the previous day’s rapelling activity. The students shared one strength of theirs, which they wish to develop further and a fear they want to overcome.
After breakfast, Grade 7 E proceeded for adventure activities of Rock climbing and Rapelling while Grade 7 F students continued to give form to their neighbourhood campaign (Forum Theatre/Nukkad Natak) under the able guidance of the theatre experts. Since yesterday, they have been writing their campaign jingles and composing music for them, during their free time.
Between 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM students would be given time to bathe and have lunch. After lunch, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, the two sections would be involved in the alternate activity of the day. After this, students would be served milk and snack and given some free time to bond with their peers.
Yesterday’s highlight was the birthday celebration at the camp. Students from both sections wished the birthday boy and relished the caramel cake. Sumptuous food which started with soup and pop corn while watching an inspirational episode of Satyamev Jayate, was served for dinner.
Before retiring to bed, there will be a brief circle time where reflection questions will be shared with students and they will get time to write their experiences and reflections.
