Delay in School Timings

Dear Parents,

Greetings!

We are in receipt of order no 3/ 1-2015 SE (5), dated 7.11.2017, issued by the Special Secretary to Government of Haryana, school education department (order attached) with respect to ‘Change in school timings due to intensive smog / fog’. As per the order, schools have been instructed not to open before 9:00 am. We have been in constant touch with the education authorities in Panchkula as well as the DC office at Gurgaon explaining to them the reasons why we would not like to delay the school timings and also that we have a dual arrival system which helps us with :

• Having lesser buses on the road.
• Provides more time to our Junior Programme children in the mornings.
• Does not inconvenience working parents.

However, the authorities have indicated their inability to make an exception and have asked us to comply with the said order. As a result, the arrival timings for Classes VI-XII are being delayed by 1:15 minutes w.e.f. 13th November 17. The changed timings are mentioned below for your reference:

School timings for Classes Nursery to V would also need to be adjusted accordingly. Considering that these are peak traffic hours in the city and it is extremely difficult for us to predict the traffic situation and accordingly the travel time required, the school will remain closed for Classes Nursery to V on Monday, 13th November. This would provide us with an opportunity to conduct a dry run with our buses on the Junior route and revert with better travel time and pick up time estimates, the exact details of which we would convey to you on Monday. This will ensure that our youngest children don’t spend unnecessary time on the buses.

There will be no changes in the Dispersal timings and they will remain the same as earlier.

All further department specific changes will be communicated to you by the respective departments separately, if required.
