Health Screening Assessment for students

Dear Parents,
Recognizing that there is a direct relationship between good health and good quality of life (including higher levels of academic achievement), a comprehensive health & wellness program was initiated in collaboration with Orange Cross.
As part of the OC-THS Health & Wellness Programme, we are planning to conduct the Health Screening Assessment for students of all classes starting from the 4th of July. The Health Screening will be conducted in three stages, out of which the first two stages comprise of the student’s check-up:

Stage 1: (scheduled to be held from 4-July to 20-Aug as per a class/day wise schedule)

• Basic check-up/evaluation by the nursing staff – This will include recording of the child’s weight, height, vitals such as BP, pulse etc.
• General Physical Examination by Dr. Savera. This will cover include a general physical check-up for, among others, cyanosis, edema, etc. along with a systemic examination of cardiac, respiratory functions etc.

Stage 2: (exact dates of this stage will be intimated later on the basis of specialists’ availability)

• Dental Examination by a team of specialists.
• Detailed Eye examination by a team of Ophthalmologists and Optometrists.

Stage 3:
Post the completion of the above 2 stages and recording of data, the finalized reports will also be looked at by the Orange Cross Nutritionist for her comments/ observations.
Once all of the above have been completed, the final reports will be printed and given to the school by Orange Cross for further distribution, along with materials for parent’s reference.
Additionally, the reports will be linked and uploaded onto the students health portals, maintained by Orange Cross, for ease of access.
