Grade XII Results

Dear Parents,

Greetings! We are pleased and proud to share highlights from another set of outstanding CBSE exam results for the Class of 2016. Once again, our students have earned a comprehensive range of excellent individual scores with a composite average that epitomizes excellence and hard work.

This year we had the first full batch of 96 students who have earned a 5 subject mean average of 88.5% and 5-subject median average of 90.2% Our mean average for best of 4 subjects (which is the score that many schools tend to report as their average) is 90.3%. We are pleased with how well our students have done overall, despite what is already being recognized as a very tough Math paper, especially in core subjects such as History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Sociology and Political Science.

Over 52% of our students have scored over 90% with 19% scoring more than 95%. Nearly 30% of students scored above 95% in their best of four subjects—which bodes well for those aspiring to gain admission to top DU colleges and other outstanding universities in India and abroad. More than the absolute scores, we are extremely pleased that 64% of our students earned grades of A1 (which refers to the top 1/8th of students in the nation) while 27% earned A2, indicating the next 1/8th of students nationwide.

Rohan Mahnot has topped the school and science stream with 97.8% 5-subject average and 98.5% best of 4-subject average. Rhea Gupta and Prerna Puri have topped commerce with 96% 5-subject average. The humanities stream was topped by Vedika Chadda and Nishthaa Lekhi with 95.4% 5-subject average.

We have scored a perfect 100% in 5 subjects by 4 students. Daattavya Agarwal has scored 100% in 2 subjects and has an outstanding average of 99.7% in core science subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Math.

As our classes get larger and continue to reflect our commitment to full inclusion, we are pleased that we can support our high fliers as well as those whose success is measured by their hard work and steady improvement. This class includes several students with learning disabilities whose scores are represented in these averages.

We extend our heartiest congratulations to the students, their families and teachers, all of whom have contributed to this effort. Attached you will find further analysis of the scores for your information and perspective.

On another note entirely, we want to let you know that we are working on the fee issue and will come back to you around the middle of the week.
