Important Update

Dear Parents,

Greetings! Over the past few weeks the school and several groups of parents have come together and discussed solutions to a set of concerns that were raised by some parents. The interactions have been fairly open-minded and both communities have benefited immensely from the same.

Having said that, there is a small group of parents who have acted on behalf of some other parents (as communicated to us) and have filed an official complaint against the school. Even as we worked on possible solutions, the complaint filed has been acknowledged by the relevant authorities and a notice for clarification has been served to the school.

As we had communicated in our previous letter, we were hoping parents would understand that such decisions take time particularly when our most important endeavor was to ensure that any kind of solution should have no impact on our quality of education and the learning experience of our children, some things that have made Heritage School, amongst the Top 10 schools in a country of 1.3 million schools. As a community we should be proud of this collective achievement.

We had communicated the areas under consideration to provide relief and over the last three weeks had already re-aligned our budgets and financial plans to finalize suitable options. However, our efforts have gotten derailed, and the matter, for now, is out of our hands, as due process must prevail. Our energies are now focused on responding to this official complaint by the deadline imposed.

Even though our plans to provide the sought relief have been disrupted in view of the current circumstances, we stand committed to moving forward and fulfilling some of our commitments to making meals optional beginning with the new quarter and making stationery optional from the next session, regardless of the outcome of the official process. Another factor we are working on is to provide a monthly payment option, however given the software changes and testing etc this may take us a couple of months.
