Khoj Update Grade 4F & 4G
On the cold, foggy morning of the last day of Khoj, the students of grade 4B and 4E looked eager and excited as on the first day. They reached Sultanpur National Park safely and comfortably at 7:50 am. After reaching the sanctuary, they freshened up and had their milk and breakfast. Soon the students were briefed about the day.
One group of students visited the interpretation centre to understand the types of beaks and claws the birds have and why they are so. The other group had a session on feathers and tail and then the groups swapped. This way, adaptation in birds was introduced.
Our young naturalists strengthened their understanding of adaption during the observation session of their bird species, with the help of some guided questions.
Lunch will be served at noon, after which the students will have own time. Post lunch, the students will have one-on-one session with the experts.
Next, one section will have a session on conservation of species while the other section will explore important information about vultures and sparrows and the role they play in our ecosystem, and then the groups will swap.
Finally, the teachers and experts will conduct a reflection session with a closure. They will then disperse from Sultanpur National Park.
Please look out for an SMS from school for the expected time of arrival.
