Update: Discontinuation of routes J-9 & J-10

Dear Parents,

This in continuation to our circulars dated 31st May 2011 and 15th June regarding discontinuation of routes J-9 and J-10. As shared earlier, several meetings have taken place with parent groups over the last few days. On 17th June, a parent group also met Mr. Manit Jain, the Director where all the issues were discussed in detail. After these rounds of discussions and deliberations with parent groups we would like to apprise you of some of the final decisions and steps taken to up till now to facilitate this transition:
On parents request, the following steps have already been taken by the school:
An option of using the school bus facility upto NH-8 is also being provided to parents. The two stops that can be used are Crowne Plaza Hotel and Sector 31 (Jal Vayu Vihar)
A database of students travelling in J-9 and J-10 has been e-mailed to all parents to facilitate formation of car pools, private cab routes etc (see attachment)
A suggested combined route of all J-9 and J-10 students has been mapped out by the school and e-mailed to all parents to facilitate formation of a private bus route as parents expressed that the school had more experience in this activity (see attachment)
Contact details of transporters that the school uses from time to time, for hiring of buses have already been shared with the parents. If required, the school can also be a part of the negotiations, once the transporters have been contacted (see attachment)
Details of students travelling in private cabs from these areas have also been e-mailed. Parents of these students may also be interested in merging / shifting from the private cabs to more viable options (see attachment)

Parents can also use the database provided to form car pools. In case parents find it more convenient they could also hire private cabs with one parent travelling with the children on a daily basis to ensure safety and security. This option would also substantially reduce the travel time for children as smaller vehicles are faster in areas with heavy traffic.
A copy of the databases sent earlier is being resent with this mail. We recommend that parents now initiate a large group meeting to arrive at a viable solution in the next few days. The school would be happy to facilitate a parent meeting on 22nd or 23rd June to help parents find viable external solutions.

With warm regards,
Dr. Mahesh Prasad
Principal
