Dear Parent,
We are fast approaching the day of our annual Mela, YUJAN.
As you are well aware, we have never held a function on this scale before—so we will need your full support and cooperation to make it a success. As the name implies, Yujan involves the entire community coming together—and depends heavily on volunteers, most of whom are students, to take on everything from logistics to entertainment to ticket sales and traffic flow.
For the successful and smooth functioning of Yujan we want you to keep certain points in mind:
Traffic Management
Please car-pool with fellow parents on your way to school
If you are being driven by a chauffeur please instruct them to park on the main road after dropping you at Gate 1
Shuttle service will be available from Leisure Valley Park in the 15 minute intervals. We will provide you with exact details of the pick-up and drop-off points, including a map, as soon as they are finalized
Because we want this to be a safe and secure day for our community, only those who carry their parent ID card will be allowed to enter. In case you have misplaced/ damaged the Parent ID card kindly apply for one at the earliest. Keep in mind that it will not be possible to process last-minute applications
Ideally, we hope you will attend the Mela and take your children home with you when you leave. In any case, it will be parents’ responsibility to make arrangements to pick up their children when they are ready to go home
We are running senior route buses on 22nd December as per the existing timings. The buses will arrive at the school at 7:40/7:45 a.m. Both staff and students can utilize this facility.
Tickets
To help with advanced planning and to expedite entry procedures on the day, tickets and coupons will be sold in advance from December 19 – 21st (8:30 am- 2:30pm) at Rs. 100 at Gate No 1
Tickets will also be sold on the Mela day, but ticket prices will go up to Rs. 150
We are offering a special rate for grandparents of Rs. 50.
Coupons for food and games will also be available on the day of the Mela
